As the packaging of cosmetics has required evolutions on so many scales due to the evolution of the cosmetics contained within them, the industry has innovatively offered ingenious new concepts and ideas for packaging these cosmetics for the sake of not only containing them, but keeping the perishable elements within them as fresh as possible, for as long as possible.

However, due to the technology that went into creating and mass-producing an airless tube bottle, this packaging option was often a costly alternative to the less expensive sprayer bottles that perfumes and colognes sometimes came in.

With the advent of cosmetic and skin care products inevitably increasing in sophistication and efficacy with advancements in science and technology, and demand growing for more natural ingredients and fewer chemical and synthetic preservatives in cosmetics, airless and airtight packaging have surged to the forefront of cost-effective and product-beneficial cosmetics packaging solutions.

While this is good news for packaging suppliers and manufacturers who bear the cost of producing this airless tube, it also benefits formulators of the cosmetics that will be stored within them. With opportunities for increased sales through more innovative products that meet the demands of consumers, packaging firms continue to refine their airless and airtight products. As a result, there are more options and varieties of style, all of which are fundamentally stylish looking and more affordable than ever before.

“The applications for airless dispensing are truly vast,” says Helga Arminak, President of Arminak & Associates, a cosmetic bottle manufacturer and wholesale distributor. “Any market that can benefit from preserving the integrity of their product and dispensing it through controlled and convenient dosage, is a candidate for airless dispensing,” he says.

A combination of more effective formulations and more affordable airless technology have more and more cosmetics manufacturers looking to the airless tube as a packaging option.

“Airless packaging options are more economically sound to cosmetics manufacturers today than ever before,” says Helga Arminak. “Airless applications have graduated over the past half-decade from using multi-component standard pumps, to airless systems that are designed efficiently and are more advanced in their functionality,” she adds.

Companies are finding different ways to make airless tube sprayers an option for their own products. A great example of this comes by way of suppliers using the same pump components across a wide range of styles, customizing only the external components of the packaging. This allows the most expensive part of the package, the pump, to be used in high volumes, thus decreasing the cost per bottle incurred by the manufacturer.

There’s another reason why airless technology is more affordable: increased competition among suppliers.

“We’re seeing airless cosmetic products packaging becoming much more affordable, particularly because the Asian manufacturing arena is driving costs down,” adds Arminak.

With new suppliers entering the airless market, quality has become a topic of discussion among established packaging firms. Pumps manufactured in China are not as effective due to leaking issues and non-functioning pumps as a result of careless mass-production.

Be sure that the manufacturer of your airless wholesale spray bottles at ther wholesale level is making them with your product’s quality in mind. Visit the website of Arminak & Associates today to look into more customized cosmetics packaging options.
