Young Adults take charge of the Future.

The World Trust Foundation launches the Young Leaders Network with a video contest.

BURBANK, CA (PRWEB) – The heart and soul of the next generation of leaders for America and the world comes from the 18 to 26 age group, for it is on their shoulders that the future will rest upon.

The Young Leaders Network is a program under the umbrella of the World Trust Foundation whose credo is to help today’s youth through Journalism, Activism and Mentorship.  The vision of creating a safe and free socio-political-environmental portal that will carry the messages of young people to the world has come to fruition with the launching of the Young Leaders Network (www.youngleadersnetwork.org ).

Along with the website launch the Young Leaders Network is announcing a video contest to kick off the event. The Young Leaders global contest will commence on January 20th, 2009 commemorating the historic Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.  The video contest will conclude on March 31st, 2009 and the winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2009.  This is an international contest developed to empower young people to take a leadership role and step up to be counted.

Winners of the contest will be invited to join the Young Leaders Network online Mentorship Program and travel to the first annual Young Leaders Network Global Summit to be held in the United States beginning on September 9th and ending on September 11th, 2009.  The year long rollout of the programs 4 prong series which includes the categories; Contest, Curriculum, Conference and Concert will conclude with a 2-hour televised special entitled “Concert for a New World”.  The winners of the contest who will make up the Young Leaders Council will be featured during the concert.

The Young Leaders Network provides a place to share the visions of young adults and express opinions of how they feel is the best way to make the world a better place. As stated on the home page at www.youngleadersnetwork.org , “Your Voice, Your Choice”.

The YLN encourages this generation to choose a portal that best matches their passion whether its in the area of Economic Development, Literacy, Environment, Social Change or Creative Expression.  Five portals to choose from that allow for the new crop of young leaders to get involved, get creative and get their voices heard.
