Diamond jewelry Along with Its Several Varieties

Jewelry is found in every corner of the globe, from the north pole to the south. It is worn by everyone from children to elders, and by men and women alike. It serves a myriad of purposes depending on the country, time and place. The most common reasons are as a form of currency, and storing that currency, to hold clothing together or some other functional ability, to symbolize something, such as a club or status, to protect as an amulet or other form of mystical protection, or as a creative display. It is seen in endless colors, shapes, sizes, textures, and prices.

A large majority of it is purchased instead of created, however, in many countries it has been weaved from the stems of various plants and flowers. The popular tiara of daisies is a good example of this. This is the cheapest form of jewelry, requiring nothing but a plant with a sturdy branch or stem, rather than potentially thousands of dollars.

A regular tiara or crown, fashioned out of metals and precious gems, is another piece of head adornment. In the past, they were largely used by royalty to convey their status and wealth. In more present times, they are rarely worn unless to a highly sophisticated event or as part of a costume. The amount of rank associated with a tiara is what extremely limits its accepting use by the general public.

Earrings are one of the most popular types of jewelry worn. They require some part of the body to be pierced in order to wear them, and for this reason, many choose not to wear this type of adornment. For those who do not mind the pain, it allows any sort of material to hang from their earlobes. The most popularly pierced areas of the body include (in descending order): the earlobes, any other part of the ear, the nose, or the eyebrows, bellybuttons, and a few extremists have parts of the genitals punctured.

Necklaces are strands of any material worn around the neck. They can be made from many materials, such as wood, cloth, plastic, and most popularly, any type of metal. Depending on the type of materials in the necklace, it has the potential to be very expensive to under a dollar.

Casual necklaces are usually cheaper and worn daily, consisting of one or a few main pendant type features. Fancier necklaces tend to be made of expensive materials and jewels, or expensive seeming ones. Cubic zirconia is a popular form of fake jewelry made to resemble expensive gems such as diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and more.

Bracelets are like small necklaces intended for the wrist. They do not usually have one main focus point, due to the constantly shifting nature of the arm and wrist. Repeating patterns are most commonly used. Like necklaces and other jewelry, their price is determined by ingredients: metals, gems, and complexity.

Jewelry is a large market, and a vast majority of first-world inhabitants own many pieces. It serves as an artistic method of creation for some individuals, which can potentially lead to the opening of a small business. No matter its beginnings, every type of jewelry has endless potential.
