I used to play the violin when I was a child and a few months ago I started to contemplate the idea of giving it a try again. So, I went on the Internet, where everyone goes first when they need something, and started my research on violins. Wherever I was going, I kept finding this name, Gliga. I did not know anything about this violin maker, but because his instruments were so popular on the Internet, I decided to call the office. Well, that went great. My luck is that they are located in Pasadena, the same city where I happen to live. Last Friday afternoon I paid the store a visit and I spent there more than 3 hours. I am grateful to Erik, the office manager, who was so patient with me and answered all my questions, no matter how stupid they were. I ended up buying a beautiful 4/4 Gama Professional violin, with a nice antique, dark brown finish, that sounds heavenly to my ears. I paid around $700, but my teacher, before telling him the price, believed that is a $2,000 violin. I recommend everyone to visit this store. Before going there, you can check out their selection of violins in their online violin shop at www.violinslover.com
