Alpharetta, GA-based auto accident lawyer Robert S. Windholz, for more than thirty five years, has made the traffic of his state his primary concern, looking out for not only the clients that look to his services in times of distress, but also the people who may be able to avoid ever needing them by practicing safe and sound driving techniques.

However, in some rare instances, some of us aren’t fortunate enough for even the safest of driving practices to save us from the tragedy of a high speed accident that results in severe injury, or worse, fatality. Yet, in this case, a life was tragically taken, most likely long before his time, due to the belligerent and negligent driving practices of another driver on the same stretch of road, headed in the opposite direction.

A Tomah teenager of 17 was killed in the crash, and his sister was in critical condition for weeks following the accident, which happened near Albany, GA.

The teenager, a native resident of Tomah, Wisconsin died after his family’s SUV was struck by an oncoming pickup truck that swerved from the oncoming lane of the four-lane state highway northeast of Albany at just about high noon, negating the possibility of the accident having been caused by a blind turn, or anything other than an awkward move while driving.

Though the sister sustained injuries that had her in critical condition at an Albany hospital for some time following the accident, the parents of the children, were reported in good condition.

The family was returning to Wisconsin from a vacation in Georgia, and after a weekend like the one they’d had, the memory of a brutal car accident is now embedded in their heads as well.

The driver of the oncoming pickup truck that ravaged their vehicle, a 45 year old female, also died as a result of the crash. A third vehicle, a tractor-trailer, wound up in the ditch as a result of the crash, but was not directly involved in any kind of impact. The driver of the tractor trailer wasn’t hurt, and actually tried heroically to help the other victims before emergency personnel arrived.
The parents of this child may potentially have what would be considered a wrongful death lawsuit against the insuring company of the driver whose vehicle struck them and killed their children, though the case was not handed to our firm.

However, when Mr. Windholz looks at cases like these, in addition to grimacing somewhat, he can’t help but wonder if there was some measure of representation that may have gone uncovered or unaddressed, or perhaps another avenue of pursuing justice for the family at a loss than the one that was taken.

“Our auto accident law firm in Alpharetta, GA goes to every end to see amicable resolution for the clients we represent, be it by way of taking it to the courtroom, or by way of negotiating with insurance companies before it gets to that point,” conveys Mr. Windholz.

“We don’t stop talking about how things can be worked out until things are worked out the way we’d like to see them.”
