International Armoring Corporation Raises the Bar for Vehicle Armoring Industry; Armormax Car Armoring System Demonstrates 100% Efficiency

International Armoring Corporation, innovators of the trusted Armormax form-fitting vehicle armor, have proudly observed their product’s performance under dangerous and risky conditions. Even under the most hostile and dangerous conditions, against ballistic weaponry and explosive devices that would rip an unarmored car to shreds, vehicles that they’ve armored have stood up firmly to this type of weaponry, and kept on rolling.

Thanks to their efforts, consumers looking at potentially investing in this level of protection will be soothed to find that armored cars for sale are easier to find than ever.

International Armoring Corporation, as a result of the quality of their armoring efforts, has inked deals with both Lincoln and Hummer to equip distributed ballistics-resistant vehicles to the consumer market. These offerings begin with Lincoln’s Town Car BPS, and most recently included Limited-Edition Hummer H2’s, one of which was featured on the Season Finale of the CBS Series, CSI: NY.

In the case of Lincoln, their BPS (Ballistic Protection Series) Town Car’s production was originally conceived in 2003, and has since gone on to become the leading entity in armored vehicle sales. It currently carries a price tag that ranges around $147,500, and varies depending upon the level or armoring instituted.

The more recently unveiled Limited Edition Armored Hummer H2 is the bulkier and more durable of the two, boasting the classic “girth” Hummers have come to be known for, and the durability to serve as not only a bulletproof shield, but also a battering ram.

Armored Vehicle sales options are available at both dealerships, as well as through International Armoring Corporation.

Both cars retain their agility and vigor, thanks mainly to an armoring method that adds only about 400 lbs. to each vehicle. Amazingly, the compound used in the Armormax armor plating weighs only 40% of what plated steel does, while delivering shielding that’s up to ten times as strong as plated ballistic-resistant steel, pound for pound.

Advancements in ballistic-resistant armoring technology, driven in large part by research done by International Armoring Corporation in the course of determining the most effective vehicle armoring methods, allow them to equip each vehicle with a synthetic armored glass that IAC refers to as their Lightweight Transparent Armor.

This glass, which is actually a leaded glass with polycarbonate inter-layers, replaces the existing factory glass with a bulletproof material that retains the vehicle’s original look, yet will stop multiple .44 caliber rounds from so much as cracking the glass.

Their Run Flat Tire System addresses another concern in those seeking bullet proof cars for sale: the potential to incapacitate the vehicle by disabling the car’s ability to move. The Run Flat Tires installed in each armored car allow the vehicle to travel an unimpeded 60 miles, at up to 60 miles per hour, with all four tires completely blown out.

This is due to an inner-tire of sorts, a hardened rubber compound that utilizes metal ball bearings within the rubber of the actual tire. These reinforced tires not only save lives, but get endangered individuals well beyond the point of any threat, perceived or imminent.

Undercarriage armoring, reinforced doors, ballistics-resistant shocks, brakes, tires and struts, dry-cell batteries, and inner-cabin vehicle armoring round out International Armoring Corporation’s offering of Armored Vehicles. Sale prices for each can be achieved via their website, Armormax.com, or by visiting the company’s parent website, IACArmorMax.com.
